2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humblethemselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now, since September 11, perhaps all of us will realize that God is still in charge. I believe this is a wake-up call to all America. We have become so complacent. Everything else is more important than worshiping God. The most used excuse is, "I am just too tired." But we can do anything and everything we want to do. I know you are all tired of hearing me say, "we need to get back into church." You say, "oh I go to church in my living room--TV church." But how do you tell your children, God is not important any more? All you need to do is listen to TV church, but most of the time that is only cartoons. What about the scripture in Hebrews 10:25? Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.. There is a reason for this, but Satan has assured us that that is not necessary, the TV is good enough. We should care for each other in our churches, pray for one another, and help one another through hard times. How will the church know you need help if you only go to TV church or even worse, Cartoon Church, or NO church at all? We are 75 years old, and although sometimes we are so tired and ache so much, we still feel God's Word is important. He would not have given it to us if HE did not want to give us instructions on living. If we think that all we have to do is use excuses, and God will bless us when we call on Him for help, then we need to look up and ask His forgiveness for being so lax and not instructing our children, our ourselves, in HIS Word, and taking advantage of the provision He has made for us to get together with other Christians so that we might ALL stand together and stand STRONG in HIS Might.
