Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. I have heard so many times people being called fools, and shudder every time I hear this. This is a serious matter and should not be among brothers and sisters in Christ. The word fool is used over and over again in the Bible and each time it is used, it is in a very bad way. Why do we as Christians call each other names and insult each other? This should not be happening at all. What has happened to the love? Where is the support? Instead we call each other names, and the worst name is calling one a fool. If we are proclaiming to be a Christian then we should never call our brother or sister a fool. This is a very serious matter and has a very dangerous consequence. GOD'S word never changes and should not and cannot be used for ones own purpose or interpretation. So when JESUS himself says that if you call someone a fool you are in danger of hell fire, you better take HIM seriously. We go through life throwing out words right and left, not even thinking of the consequences. As I have said before words have started wars and killed millions. One of the worst words one can ever call some one is a Fool. I know this weekly thought is very short but I have been very concerned about the careless use of this word. Many who call themselves Christians call each other fools, oblivious of the danger they are in. So brothers and sisters, PLEASE, let us stop calling each other names, and instead exhort each other and support each other. © Copyright 2001 by John and Cindy Thomas
