Article 14 written by John and Cindy Thomas warns of the severe consequence that the bible presents to us if we judge others

Thought For The Soul
Judge Not
By John and Cindy Thomas

Christ the Anchor

Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art thatjudgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

In my walk in life I have met professing Christians that do not hesitate to judge others. This is a very dangerous and sinful thing to do. These people think that they have the right to go around and pass out condemnation on other people. How stupid and self righteous can one get.

It reminds of the Pharisees in the bible who did not hesitate to pass out judgement on other people. Jesus called them snakes and tombs, all nice and pretty on the outside but stinking of death on the inside.

It is quit plain that in Romans that when you judge others you are condemning yourself. This is from GOD'S word and not from me. Personally I have become sick to the point of nausea of those that do this. They think they are passing righteous judgement down on others, and say we are supposed to do this. How sick and hypocritical can one get? We are told in the Word of GOD, not only this is forbidden, there are consequences for passing judgement on other.

Let us not mistake, pointing out sin in a brother or sister's life with Judgement. There are procedures for this. This is not judging this is trying to help that person get back on the road. We still love that person very much and we ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DO IT IN PUBLIC.

I for one believe strongly that before pointing out a sin in someone's life that we better get on our knees, fast and pray, and ask GOD to point out the sin in our life first, so we can take care of it.

I run across this hideous action of judging others in my every day life, Especially in the bible fellowship chat room on AOL. These people make me literally sick. They think they are perfect and never do wrong. They do not hesitate to pass Judgement on others, while they strut around like the pharisees of old. What a mockery of GOD'S word this is.

It breaks my heart to see these people like this. It breaks my heart even more to see how many people they crush, and how many spirits are destroyed because of this.

Instead of judging others let us share the love of GOD with all those we come across. No one is perfect. Does this mean we ignore sin? Absolutely not. Instead we can lead those who have strayed back to the strait and narrow with love.

In closing I want to make one thing clear. I am not perfect. In fact I struggle with sin every day. But God forgives me and so we should others.
